Recent Event Photography in Stockholm

I recently covered a one-day conference here in Stockholm for a financial client. The event was held at the Grand Hotel, which is such a beautiful place to photograph. The rooms are quite light, even at this time of year.

The biggest challenge with conference photography events is that you have to grapple with artificial light and spotlights. For example, the auditorium can be lit but then speakers on the stage are in more subdued lighting to ensure that their presentations are visible to the audience. Although I try and persuade the lighting technicians to change this, it doesn’t always work.

As well as the speakers, I took some mingle photographs to capture the feel of the event. Conference shoots aren’t just about the conference itself. It’s about taking photographs that capture something of the people at the event.
